Finance Application Check List
Documentation Required for Environmental Upgrade Finance
In order to provide finance for your upgrade project, we need to do a credit assessment and satisfy that the business will be able to service the loan.
Remember, this form of finance is enabled by legislation and involves a three-part agreement with Sustainable Australia Fund (the lender), your local council and your business.
Below is an outline of what you will be asked to provide throughout the application and credit process;
Application stage
- ABN/ACN of business
- Certified ID (can be completed digitally as part of the online application)
- A copy of your council rates notice
- A copy of the project proposal or quote for the upgrade works
Additionally, depending on the nature of your business and application, we may need you to provide some more information, which you can do after submitting your online application:
- Certificate of Insurance
- Lease Agreement (if applicable)
- Consent from the building tenants to pass on the charge (if applicable – we provide the form)
- Trust Deed (if applicable)
- Two years of financial statements (if your project is over $50k and/or your business hasn’t been operating for two years):

- Two years of historical accountant prepared accounts
- YTD Management figures
- Balance Sheet
- Tax portal for 12 months
Conditional approval
After we offer conditional approval, you will need to notify your mortgagee of your finance approval for this project. We provide the form and instructions for this.
