We are very pleased to announce that last Thursday, the BetterBuildingFinance.com.au program was shortlisted for the National City Switch Partnerships awards held in Melbourne. The program, managed jointly by ClimateWorks Australia and Sustainable Melbourne Fund, was one of three state finalists with the national award ultimately won by Future Proofing Geelong. Sustainable Melbourne Fund congratulates Future Proofing Geelong for their outstanding work in promoting and implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy throughout the Geelong region.
However being finalist recognises the breadth and diversity of the partnerships we relied on during the program development. Having input from energy auditors, state and local governments across Australia, NAB, Property Council of Australia and property and facility management companies resulted in a relevant and rich website and program that addresses the complexities and misconceptions of EUA finance and compares the business case with other methods of finance.
The new website that articulates the business case for EUA finance and provides fact sheets for service providers, tenants and building owners as well as business cases and includes an interactive comparison calculator to compare other methods of finance for energy efficiency projects and refers users to councils and consultants if they are willing to take the next steps.
