Launch Event – guide to improving electricity use in your business

The Clean Energy Council, in conjunction SMF and with experts in energy use for small to medium enterprise businesses, are launching a new guide to improving electricity use in your business which looks at solutions for small and medium businesses better manage electricity demand and costs.

Funded by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) the guide provides practical advice on how to better understand your electricity consumption. By looking closely at options such as energy efficiency, solar power, device switching and electricity tariffs the guide will show you how to take actions to reduce the operating costs of your business.

Every business is unique. The guide explains how, as a business owner, you can understand the electricity consumption of your small-medium business and identify the most practical solutions for your particular case. These solutions will help your business operate more efficiently than your competitors by saving energy and money while reducing your business’ impact on the environment.

To couple the discussion of managing and reducing energy consumption with the commercial sector, ourselves at Sustainable Melbourne Fund will discuss how EUAs can finance projects – achieving both the environmental and financial objectives.

Who should attend: Small-medium business owners from all sectors should attend this launch.

The event will co-host by Clean Energy Council and Sustainable Melbourne Fund with thespeakers at the launch event providing a detailed summary of the guide and present a case study from a business which has successfully made savings by changing their electricity use.

Speakers include:

– Tom Butler from the Clean Energy Council
